Frequently Asked Questions
When doing a home remodeling project of any size, many questions may arise.
Here are a few common questions and answers:
Who will be working on the project?
The Modern Solutions team will work closely with you and our subcontractors. All work times, etc will be addressed at our pre-construction meetings. These meetings cover everything from start times on site to removing breakables from the walls to saving or reusing items.
Are you licensed and are your subcontractors licensed?
Yes, we are a licensed contractor and any subcontractors who work for us are licensed as well.
Why is it important to determine a budget before starting the project?
Determining the budget is one of the most important factors before starting any remodel project. Once a budget is determined, Modern Solutions can show you what items will fit within that budget. This will keep everyone on the same page while designing your space.
What is the timeline estimate for getting a project done?
Every project has its own timeline. When giving the estimate, we will discuss how long we think the project will take. However during a project many things can affect the time schedule – weather, availability of products, coordination of appointments, etc. We will do our best to get the project done within the timeline given and to our customer’s satisfaction.
Will my property be protected during the process?
Modern Solutions will do its best to keep a clean and safe environment during the remodeling process. We understand how hard it is to get dust off furniture, carpets and furnishings so we contain it as much as possible.
What is the average life expectancy of a tub resurfacing?
You can expect a tub refinish to last 12 to 15 years with average use, and it’s hard to put a number on guest bath or light use tubs. We’ve had people tell us at Home Shows that theirs still looks good after 30 years!
Can you really fix cracks in cultured marble tubs and showers?
Absolutely!! And guarantee it! Whether it is chipped, cracked, or scratched we can repair it.
